hello, i have a question and you may or may not be able to help me.' i closed my bank account because of the pay day loans loans, i had talked to my bank before i did this, i got a letter stating i owe 795 in nsf fees i contacted them and told them i had closed the account they apparently reopened the account, i got a letter today from our court the district justice office because teh bank is now suing me, what are my rights what can i do

Most banks will re-open an account if an account is closed and a transaction
( check, debit ) comes through within a certain period of time that is close to the time the account was closed. All banks determine this differently but it is rather common.

The only way you could have protected yourself was to have put a stop payment on these checks (generally this is 30.00 fee for each check)

May I ask what bank this is as well? I am kinda shocked they are talking you to court. generally banks and credit unions will charge off accounts and turn them over to collections at a much later time.
