I recently opened up a 2nd chance checking account with Woodforest and have a few questions

1) If I wrote someone a check I know will clear, will they have any problems depositing at their bank (ie will their bank run a check on my name and realize i had past issues)?

2) I was reading another post about how someone saying they ordered checks and then had accounts closed...I just ordered my initial woodforest checks..am i at risk for this? I didn't even have this thought cross my mind since they already knew i was in chex

3) when a bank does close your account after 'finding out' you were on chexsystems or whatever, what happens to your money?

WoodForest is GREAT. They are probably one of my favorite banks right now when it comes to helping those reported to chexsystems.

1. No the person that you wrote the check to will not have a problem with your check. The only time you may have an issue is when you write a check at a retail store. If you had outstanding checks on another account, they may run your social security number and/ or DL number and decline your check. As far as utilities and rent ..you will have no problems.

2. With WoodForest, no you are at no risk of losing your account due to chexsystems tracking your check orders. WoodForest specializes in second chance accounts. They already know you have issues with Chexsystems.

3 If a bank closes your account they will refund your balance generally in 30 days.
