wage garnishment

I currently have a wage garnishment and for about 2-2 1/2 months only $50 per paycheck ($100) per month was deducted from my paycheck. However, my most recent paycheck had $210 deducted from my net pay of $761. I'm thoroughly confused about the increase and was wondering about what could have possibly happened to cause the increase. I'm just looking for any information I can get before I start making phone calls about this. This change in deduction makes it extremely difficult, impossible in fact, to cover my monthly living expenses.

As far as I know, the creditors can garnish a maximum of 25% of your disposable income. Since your disposable income if $761, the maximum amount they can garnish is $190. I think that you should call them up or send them a certified mail informing them that they are violating the Federal Laws relating to wage garnishment.
