Once you file bankruptcy, the trustee will inform the creditors that you have filed bankruptcy and so they can no longer contact you for the debt. If the creditors still contact you, it will be considered violation of the Federal Law. You may file an adversary to stop the collection calls.

Have you informed the creditor that the debt was included in bankruptcy? With debts being sold to JDB's, they might not be aware. Inform them first...then if the calls continue use the courts.

This happened to us one time when we filed. We contacted our attorney (except we were getting letters and phone calls). He contacted the creditor and infomed them that they had been included in the banckruptcy and that they were in violation and that if this continued that we would go to court. Needless to say we never heard from them again.
