I cleared my debts on Chapter 7 in July of 2005.
I like to know how long do
I have in order to try
Chapter 13. I would also
appreciate if there are
amy known people that can
advise those will the
situation I am faving.

I believe you can do ch13 now. I am sure some one that knows will post soon. Since you are considering doing ch13 anyways why not speak with a couple of bankruptcy attorneys. Most will give you a free consultation and will go explain your options. Alse , have you considered doing debt settlement as an option ?

Did you obtain a discharge on your chapter 7 and are you wanting to do a chapter 13 now?

I am curious to know this answer also, I did a chapter 7 and was discharged in January, 2004.

I think that you have to wait 6 years to do another bankruptcy after a 7 and I think 2 or 3 years after a chapter 13. I just read alot of stuff on the bankruptcy website so I might be confused.

Someone with more knowledge than myself will be along to advise further.:)

Well, you can file a ch-13 right after ch-7. Technically it's possible to file two bankruptcies back to back. BK lawyers often term it as ch-20.

Filing ch-7 discherges you from your unsecured debts, then reaffirm on your house or car (or any such asset that you have to protect)to file ch-13 and lower the payments on these loans.

However, if you have filed ch-7 already, you're not allowed to file another ch-7 within six years period.

Hope the input helps.
