Help! I have a car that was surrendered in a 2005 bankruptcy case. Lien holder never picked up the car. It has been sitting in a field at my parents house all this time. This is the address of the bankruptcy. The car will need a TON of work to get roadworthy, but I don't want to touch it if it can be taken from me. I have a title in my hand (out of state, I never registered it in my state of KY) that I've had since 2001. It is in my name with bank as lienholder. Does ANYONE know if I can get a clear title. After 9 years is the car considered abandoned. I would like to know any and all suggestions. My parents feel they would be owed a great deal of storage from the lienholder for this car being left on the property for 9 years after being surrendered. All thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Well, the useful ones at least....
