Im going to file for bankruptcy as my wife and I had a baby and before and after having him, we racked up credit card debt. It is now to the point where we cant even make the payments and we will be having an increase in rent in a few months. My question is, WE are about 1-2 mnths late on all the credit cards, and were planning to do bk soon, but we live in the snow and cant afford to lose the car with 4wd until march.
Should I put all my cc's in a consolidation program so I can prolong bankruptcy without getting sued?

I would think that if you can afford the car payments that the bank would be willing to reaffirm the agreement and let you keep the car..it's just a thought and a good question to ask your attorney.
