How soon do I need to start making payments for Chapter 13 bankruptcy? I'm planning to file bankruptcy soon. Can I file it in June 2020? Do I have to go to the bankruptcy court or can I do everything online?

Plan payments start 30 days after the case is filed.

You can file anytime you are ready to file.

You will need to check with your local bankruptcy court to see if you can file documents on-line. Many do not allow pro se debtors to file on-line but some do. As to court hearings, you will also need to check with the court due to COVID. Many courts are currently holding hearings via the phone or video conferencing.

You should be discussing all of this with an attorney. Chapter 13s are rarely successful if the debtor is not represented.

You should talk to a bankruptcy attorney for help.

Hi Kevin! Yes, you can file Chapter 13 bankruptcy in June 2020.But you can't file online bankruptcy without the help of an attorney. However, you can file bankruptcy without an attorney, which is called filing pro se.
But before filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy, I would suggest you know about the advantages and disadvantages here https://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/chapter-13-bankrupt cy.html and decide accordingly.
