What can happen to my house if I file Chapter 7 bankruptcy?




Your house is exempted from bankruptcy based on how much it is worth.

Most Chapter 7 bankruptcy filers can keep their homes as long as they are current on their mortgage payments. What about you?

Basically you have to liquidate your assets in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy to clear your debt liabilities. Your house is one of those assets.

But the game is, find an excellent attorney, and discuss your options to file a "No asset bankruptcy"
