I'm in a deep financial crisis. I have 5 credit cards. All are maxed out. I'm unemployed. I don't have savings as well. What will happen now? I'm trying to get a job. What will happen if I don't get one? Can I file bankruptcy within $2000 in Oklahoma?

Consult a bankruptcy attorney. Once your current financial health has been assessed and your your documents checked, your attorney would know better if you should file bankruptcy or not. You could choose bankruptcy or other debt relief measures.

Really hiring an attorney is going to cost you at least a grand plus filing fees of 400 plus. Filing on 2k is really a waste of time. Get a part time job, or 2 or 3 if necessary. SOunds like your credit card balances are low....they are not going to pursue you for awhile.

Dear Poster,

Working part-time is good...But how on Earth would you be able to work on 3 different assignments, even if you work part-time? You're a human being and not a machine...so do what your health permits you to...and lastly, Soaplady believes attorneys are only for the rich and not for the poor, even if it means to get hounded by the debt collectors, lose a debt lawsuit due to insufficient representation in the court, get wages garnished and even lose a part of one's Social Security...Once a debt collector. ALWAYS A DEBT COLLECTOR.
