I filed my Ch 13 last year and the rental company for my apartment complex still renewed my lease. I know every rental company's criteria is different, but as long as pay your rent on time and have never been late, like you had said, then I would think there shouldn't be a problem.

I have never heard of someone not having their lease renewed because of a BK. As long as you are not behind. But if you are wondering, why not call the company (or have someone else call) and ask. Or you can check over your lease to see if it is stated in there. Heck pm me the number and I will call and ask for you. Unless it is not a big company then it would be different to call :wink:

I called the apt manager and asked about filling 13 and if you could lose your lease. They told me no. If rent is current I'd be fine. They don't pull new CR to renew leases!! Big relief!
