Need help. Confused

I know you need to show proof of income, after you file your petition and the other forms, does the trustee take hold of your pay check stubs or is that only for my attorney to use when filing out my form?
When it says that your property will be sold to pay off your creditors, does that mean they will sell all of your clothes and other personal items, even if you don't own much?
I have been living in a friends house to get back on my feet, do I have to add her to the "number in household or monthly income section" for the means test?
Sorry for all those questions, but I'm nervous that I won't be eligible and can't find the answers to these questions anywhere.

The paystubs should just be for the attorney to use in filling out your forms. If the trustee has any questions, s/he could request additional documentation from you or additional paystubs, but it's probably not too likely.
Each state has allowable exemptions for property that you are allowed to keep. There are also federal exemptions, and some states allow you to choose between the state exemptions and the federal exemptions. Your clothing and personal items will almost certainly be exempt. If you own art or jewelry or other expensive items, you may not be able to exempt all of them. Since you don't own a house, that won't be an issue. If you own a vehicle, there is probably an exemption to cover that up to a certain dollar amount.
I'm not certain about the friend, but I THINK that you will have to add into income the amount that s/he contributes toward your household expenses. I'm not sure about the number in household. Your attorney will be able to help you with that part.
If you go to legalconsumer.com/bankruptcy, enter your zip code, and click on "means test calculator", there is a good calculator there to help you determine whether you meet the means test. Over on the right there is a link you can click on about roommates contributions to household income.
Good luck!
Thanks Alias, I will go to that website. Thank you so much.
