good morning,
here is my question, i lived in the united states for years but had to come back to europe, it has been 15 years that i have been back in France, i still owe about $12000 that i have been paying every month eversince i have been back in my country, but i cannot pay any more, now my question is can i file for bankruptcy from france? if not can i be sued if i don't pay my balance??

I would not file bankruptcy over 12k. You could be sued in the
I would not file bankruptcy over 12k. You could be sued in the U.S. without being present but the judgment would probably be worthless unless you returned to the U.S. I really doubt you could be sued in France over a contract signed in the U.S.
Debt consolidation
My family have moved to Australia from UK with ????18k debt still in the UK which we are paying off. We need to consolidate these payments into one so we can pay it from Australia, any ideas?
