I spoke with my attorney's office and they said they can't do anything and we have time to get the payment caught up so nothing will happen. Just a tip for anyone in the future who is dealing with this. Also you do need to file chapter 13 for this to take place. Thanks for your reponses.
Your attorney has to forward the case number to the auto loan co
Your attorney has to forward the case number to the auto loan company. They are not supposed to pick your car after receiving your info from the attorney.
What type of bankruptcy did you file for? If it is chapter 13, I believe the payment plan is already fixed by the trustee and the auto loan company will take the payments fixed in the plan. There should be no threats of picking up the car.
