Can primary home be saved even if filing bankruptcy?

If you qualify for Chapter 13, then it can help you save your primary residence. If you file Chapter 7, you can use homestead exemption to keep your primary home.

Yup, chapter 13 bankruptcy will give you the provision to save your primary home and catch up on payments. As Ryan said, you can also protect your home equity with a homestead exemption and in with a wildcard exemption chapter 7 bankruptcy.
