Has anyone here used bankruptcy software for help in filing. I am thinking of using one becasue I can't afford a lawyer. Can anyone give me any suggestions, thanks
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend
software - It can't give you advice, it's only going to put your words
in whatever spot.
All the forms are available on your local BK court website and the
federal court website.
But - I wouldn't recommend filing on your own unless you have an easy
case and can follow directions well. The bad thing is that if you mess
up the case is thrown out.
I looked into the software packages when I filed, and none of them are
very good. Most of the ones I found were actually pre 2005 software,
which would be worthless.
