I filed chapter 7 sept/2010 it was discharged Jan/2011 . I had a house that was included in bankruptcy we moved out didn't want the house. The sheriff sale/ foreclosure was pushed back several times and still hasn't been foreclosed. Today i received a letter from a lawyer for the mortgage company saying there is a judgment against me filed in my local court for the balance on mortgage plus interest.
The letter says about garnishing wages etc.

Read the response to pretty well the same question you a few months back. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/showthread.ph p?p=891760#post891760

Ignore it and they will judgment against you. Did you read the other link? You need to remind them they are in violation of the bankrutpcy discharge!!!

I gave all papers to my lawyer to look over. should i also contact my local court house . The house is scheduled for sheriff sale on june 12th. I assume they wouldnt try to collect on judgment until house is sold. So it looks like i have a little time to resolve this issue ???
