Ch. 7 and payday loans

YES...I just filed Chapter 7 and included my loans. Once you hire your attorney, when they call you tell them you are filing and give them your lawyers number.

they will.. though i hope you do not file because of them, they might not even be legal in the first place.

i forgot to add that some places might still call, that happened to me. but if they do, direct them to your attorney. they might lie and say your bankruptcy was dismissed, so stay strong and direct all calls to your attorney.

I'd also recommend to the OP that he take steps to protect his bank account. I doubt some PDLs - especially the illegal and overseas ones - would have any qualms about debiting his accounts, bankruptcy or no.

Well since you typically close your bank account before the actual filing (otherwise creditors - if you have any major bank CC) will sometimes swoop them (i.e. drain you account)... you should have closed them already... in anycase check the forums on handling payday loan lenders... I believe they recommend closing you bank account or revoking ACH.... I'd just close the account personally.
