Actually, I am still contemplating over the idea of filing bk. So, I want to know about its expenses both ways- per se and with atty.
Can it cost me more in the long run if I file without an attorney?

well when i was also contemplating BK i searched around for attorney's as well.some in IL charge as much as 2500.00.the lowest i found was 1700.00.the cost to do it yourself can range from 300.00 to 700.00.however the paperwork can be daunting especially if you file CH7,and want to reaffirm anything like a house,or car.if you choose to hire an attorney do alot of footwork.some attorney's dissappear after the filing and discharge.that has been a topic on several posts.both have their pros and cons.
