Is it possible to file bankruptcy just to get rid of unsecured debts? This is because the home loan is quite manageable but facing problem with the credit card debt

Well, you can file either Chapter 7 bankruptcy or Chapter 13 bankruptcy to get rid of unsecured debts. Obviously, you have to pass the means test for that and submit all the papers properly. Also, you need to list your assets and liabilities accurately.

Yes you may opt for chapter 7 or chapter 13bank bankruptcy to get rid of your unsecured debts. But before choosing any of these two options, you should consult your bankruptcy attorney.
