I have got bankruptcy discharge in November 2010. One of my creditors have sent me a 1099C form few days back. My question is, can he legally send me this form? What should I need to do?

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
No, the creditors can't send you a 1009 C form to you. The reason is, the debt discharged through bankruptcy is not regarded as cancelled debt. So, you're not required to pay an tax on those debts. You should fill out and send a 982 form to IRS to prove that the discharged debt is non-taxable.
