I am in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, and I am still making payments to my bank for my auto loan. Due to some bad weather lately, I did not get to work and did not have much money come in. Due to this, I am a little behind on my auto payments, but plan to make the payments soon. Will this cause my case to be dismissed, or do I just need to notify my loan officer and let him know what is going on? Thanks
Your case will not get dismissed. If you do not bring payments
Your case will not get dismissed. If you do not bring payments current the lender will file a Motion for Relief From the Automatic Stay and, if the Motion is granted, will simply repossess the vehicle. Just bring payments current as quickly as possible and you should be ok.
