Chapter 7 + Taxes+ Divorce
Date: Wed, 12/09/2009 - 06:41
Hi,
Hi,
I live in Ohio, and filed for Chapter 7 in September, 2009, I have no assets and was wondering if I need to file these bankruptcy debts (credit cards)on my tax return. My husband and I are going through a divorce and he did not file for bankruptcy, our divorce should be settled in 3-4 months. Since I am not employed he will have to claim me on his tax return for 2009, will my bankruptcy affect his returns? He may come after me for this money.
Thanks
