how long after my 60 will bk show as discharged on my dredit report . its been 65 days and still shows as a ch. 7 petition

Your chapter 7 bankruptcy filing will be mentioned in your credit report for the next 10 years. The status will be updated as "discharged" once you receive a discharge from the bankruptcy court. However, with time, the negative affect of bankruptcy filing will get reduced. After 2-4 years, you'll be able to qualify for a mortgage even.

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
Chapter 7 bankruptcy remains on your credit report for about 10 years. One you receive a discharge from the court, the account status will be updated as "discharged" on your credit report. So, have patience. I would also like to inform you that bankruptcy lowers one's credit score. So, your credit score is likely to go down by around 200 points.

i had a bk discharge around the first of december. out of couriosity a few days ago i checked annualcreditreport.com to see what i was left with. it was already showing discharged on my credit. but to my surprise my credit score pretty much stayed the same. the only thing i can think of is my credit was already bombed when i filed so the bk didnt really have an effect on the score. but now its off to rebuilding and keeping my finances in check.
