Chapter 7 Proof of Claim AFTER Discharge

OK Folks, here's the skinny. My wife and I were discharged from Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in April of this year. We just got a letter dated May 31 of this year from the trustee informing us that three creditors filed proofs of claim. I will be contacting my BK attorney about this and hoping it's much ado about nothing. So what exactly is happening here?

Sounds like you are an asset case, the Court issued a "claims bar date" and only 3 creditors responded. Probably nothing for you to do. The creditors who filed claims will share in the distribution. Those who failed to file claims will not. This has no impact on the entry of your Discharge.
