BK affect on job search, life in general

I'm getting ready to file BK (probably 7), but I've read the downside to doing so. One puzzles me - the affect it might have on potential job searches/hiring. Has anyone felt the ramifications of BK on their everyday life, other than the usual financial stress?
I mean things like getting insurance, a new job, social status, etc.

Yes, since bankruptcy gets listed in your credit report, it not only lowers your credit score, but also lowers the possibility of getting hired by a good employer. This is because employers may consider a candidate with bankruptcy, a security risk factor.

I know a lot of people who have filed BK...and none have ever been affected when it comes to job changes or getting hired. Some have security clearances too. It doesnt seem to have the stigma it once had.
