22 and thinking of Filing BK Ch. 7 in Cali! Please help!!!!!
That only takes care of my repo, nothing else.
My thinking is, if I can file now, I could use those three years to strengthen my credit instead of paying it off and it going no where.
I want to be able to apply for student loans if neccessary in the next couple years and i dont think ill be able to do that if I just pay it off. Please help! :shock:

Some time in the future you may want to finance a car or a house, and if you are asked on a loan application if you have ever filed BK, you have to honestly answer YES, even if it was 20 years ago.

Mnay people in my profession have filed Bankruptcy and beat it after that 7 year cloud. They still have good jobs, homes, and cars.
The key is when you file BK be sure you change your habits and remain focused. You cannot file and go back to the same ways before you filed. Best of luck! :wink:
