Should the attroney I saw have told me what chapter of BK he was planning on filing? I have no clue, he talked to us told us what would be safe and what issues might come up, told us the bills would be wiped out and sent us with this whole packet.

How do I know what chapter this is? I don't think 13 will work for me being self employed. I have no idea from month to month what my income will be.

Based on MY experience filing bankruptcy, I knew at the first consultation which Chapter I could file. Your paperwork should say which Chapter you are filing.

I know this may sound redundant, but please do some research on the internet regarding the different chapters. If you are feeling at all concerned or not comfortable with yuor attorney, please go see someone else. This is a major decision which will affect your life for many years. You need someone guiding you that you can trust and feel comfortable with.

I do know that if you wind up filing 13 you can refile 7 if your circumstances change.

I wish you the best of luck, I've been there.
