Bankruptcy and Credit Card Debt/ Garnishments

Hi, I have a quick question. I have a couple old credit card debts that I defaulted on and one of them currently has a garnishment on my wages. I am self employed and also work elsewhere, but now that the economy has slowed down, my own business has suffered dramatically and I rely soley on my outside job. I am thinking of filing for Bankruptcy because I can no longer keep up on payments for anything. My credit score is already ruined as it is. Anyway, if I file for BK, will this remove all the old credit card debts I owe? I heard cc companies are immune to Bankruptcy and they can still come after you once you file. Also, If I do file BK, will that stop the current wage garnishment I have?
Thanks
Jake B.

CC companies are NOT immune to Bk. When you file, you list ALL
CC companies are NOT immune to Bk. When you file, you list ALL debts including the old ones. If they come after you after the discharge, they are in violation of bankruptcy laws.
yes, your garnishment will stop.
