I live in Virginia and my chapter 7 was discharged in March '08. Now I'm being harassed by a creditor that was listed on the bankruptcy. I did not have a lawyer and don't know how to proceed. I understand that them contacting me is illegal.

let the court know about it.the trustee should take care of it.

the AG will say it's for the BK judge and the trustee to handle anyway.they don't get involved in BK issues.

It is illegal for them to contact you. After talking to the trustee, if these people continue to harrass you, you can sue them. When we filed bankrutcy we were sent letters from an account we had filed against. We did use an attorney, and he notified them that if they continued to harrass us, that they would be sued.
