I was told there were extreme circumstances that allow a person to refile bankruptsy prior to 6yrs. I have over 25000 in debt, I am now on workmans comp for who knows how long, I can barely pay rent utilities & ins. Med bill collectors are hounding me my income dropped about 25%

There is no law that allows one to file a Chapter 7 within EIGHT years of the filing of a prior Chapter 7 in which a discharge was obtained, no matter how dire the circumstances.

You can file a Chapter 13 so long as you received your Chapter 7 Discharge 4 or more years ago. If you are below median income you could commit to a 36 month Plan. I have formulated Plans with payments as low as $75/month for 36 months when such was justified and met all requirements of a Chapter 13.
