wage garnishment

My husband and I filed two weeks ago and he is still having wages garnished! It started out with an account we owed 3800 dollars on last year they took it and we thought it was done paid. Then all of a sudden this collection agency says we owe 109.00 more dollars once they start getting some of our other accounts. So now we felt our only option was bankruptcy to stop it and get a fresh start we got a loan modification on our house and just filed our debt. Now this collection agency has take 2500 dollars for a misley 109.00
we tried a debt settlement company before bankruptcy and it might of worked if my husband hadnt been off work for 4 months last year. so all of our accounts were at collections or judgements and lawyers. But can they really take all that money for 109.00
or what will happen to it? we filed the account they were garnishing. It seems so unfair

was the stay executed?contact your attorney immediately.once you file,and the stay is executed all actions including judgements,and garnishments stop.in the case of garnishments if this account was part of your petition then all money should be returned that was garnished.
