I too have dealt with Bass and Assoc. , They are now calling themselves Eand E marketing . I have been receiving threatening phone calls demanding I send money or I will go to Jail. They had me crying my ass off and I sent them $655.00 . My feance looked them up online and found out all this info. I was given a case number and threatened again. The first man that called , the one I paid , his name is Frank Miller, The second man that called his name was william . These too are from E and E . I have also recieved calls from a David and a Kelly from Bass and Assoc. . Here's the kicker when I looked these companies numbers up online they are tied in together in fact it comes up as BandA . I spoke with the Attorney Generals Office in Florida and was told to fill out the online complaint form which I did and and they said these companies are being investigated. They also told me to send them a copy of my proof of paying them which I did also . I also printed this info. off and sent it to them. I put a fraud alert on my ssc # and contacted all the credit aggencies. I have been to see a credit councilor and had just been wondering if there is anything else I can do, I am scared and have never been in trouble before. I want these ass holes to pay for the trauma they have caused me and my family . I have had 4calls from them in the last two weeks and I have recorded every damn threatening message they have left me. Can you please let me know if I should get a lawyer or not .

I would talk to a laywer to see what your options are and what they say. It seems like you may have all of your bases covered. Also, I would click on the "free consultation" button that is to the right and up from this post to see what else you may be able to do. You have come to the right place for help and welcome to the site.

all the best,
Luke

This company is not only being "investigated" by the AG of Florida, but is being sued by him, to the point of putting them out of business. You did right by filing a compaint, for he is also investigating Bass' connection with various other collectors. Don't listen to them. Consumer debt is a civil matter, not criminal, you can't be arrested. If they threaten this, tell them, "go ahead have me arrested". However, employees of this company can indeed be arrested for criminal fraud.
