This company is not only being "investigated" by the AG of Florida, but is being sued by him, to the point of putting them out of business. You did right by filing a compaint, for he is also investigating Bass' connection with various other collectors. Don't listen to them. Consumer debt is a civil matter, not criminal, you can't be arrested. If they threaten this, tell them, "go ahead have me arrested". However, employees of this company can indeed be arrested for criminal fraud.

These people can not threat you with actions that they can not take. If they do so then its also a violation of fdcpa. Can someone go and make these people understand the consequences of FDCPA.
