Several complaints? How many bills have you not paid?

The people that state the collectors at CCB are doing their job are completely NOT doing their job when they aren't even allowed to say who their company is and be upfront about everything. When they call you, they don't even identify the company. If I had not traced the phone number, then I wouldn't have known. They are rude when you do call back. Collectors that are good and are in business to make money and not take anything personal, work for reputable companies where they are allowed to state the company name, their name or work id # and only ask a few questions to see if they can pay or not. It's not rocket science, it's about business. CCB does not make it business, they are truly some of the worst collectors out there - get this CCB -the way you treat me - is the way I'm going to treat you. Get it? It's pretty simple. Don't give me your name, I won't give you mine.

Hi; The reality is that those people are not collecting from many companies they are making debtors life hell... They do harass people and families. There are tons of people that live over the limits but most of people are crushed in this economy where you used to have a good paid job and then lost it, there are also divorce, sickness and many other factors that put people in hardship and its not like you hide to pay. You dont need to scream or say illegal threats to recover money; how will you feel when the wheel turn all the way around? Never treat anyone as you wont like others treat you...I am a single mother and had an account with T mobile. I owe T mobile 234 dollars that I will be more than happy to pay as I wanted to do on the beginning. They started charging me for a second phone that I DID NOT had. Send several certified letters with no response now they are charging me 1575 for services that I never received and for a number that I order disconnection 2 years ago. You will ask why I dont pay what I owe; simple I need that they clear that mess and not just credit a portion and keep harrasing me and my whole family. They even told my grandmother that she should go to her country if she didnt speak english. Guess what she IS in her country never been out of it and who cares she dont owe any money I was born and raised in US and US citizen (from PR). There is a limit of everything; if you owe money you should make arrangement of pay it but without being put as you are a monster...I had been trying to pay with no result. sadly

I have been making payments to this company for several months. last month, I told the operator that I would not be able to make a payment for this month but that payment could resume next month. I got a call saying that I was a liar and that I have no choice but to pay or be dropped and my credit would be directly effected. At this point I have no way of paying and am now, according to them "screwed for the next 7 years because I can't handle my credit like a big boy" as stated by the "supervisor". I was also told "no" when I asked originally if I may speak to said "supervisor". it was only after repeated calls that was able to speak with one. then after being yelled at, threatened, and hung up on... that I called several more times and was able to get the name of the company.

hoo boy.a few pieces of advice for you.

1)if a person asks for your co name by law you must give it.
2)save the pay your bills line jamoke.it is against the law to continuosly call a 3rd party.especially when you have their contact info.
3)you are somewhat right on the point that collections is not customer service,but not working with people like your bottomfeeder does is not collections either.it's a scam nothing more.

here's hoping this bottomfeeding wormslime is class actioned out of business.like mann bracken was.

I just started working with this company a couple of weeks ago. I have found them to be more polite than any other collection agency who has contacted me, which was actually surprising. The main thing I don't like is that I have just set up my payments for the next few months electronically, and yet I have nothing in writing and no guarantees, which they have truthfully told me that they will not provide. Makes me very uneasy. I'm trying to be cautious while at the same time getting rid of my debt, and this is probably the cheapest route I have found (so far). I hope I have a positive story and will keep you posted. (as a side note, I only keep enough money in the account they will be pulling from to make the individual payment. I also plan on contacting my bank and making sure they don't allow any unauthorized transactions, as me and CCB have set up the exact dates on which they will pull the money out).

As far as people saying certain things about people who worked/work there: Some of the employees are assholes. Most of them, however, are poor and just trying to pay their own bills. A majority of the employees are middle-aged and under-educated or teenagers or 20-somethings that refuse to work in fast food. you are all so stupid to work for a company like this. these companies are the armpit of america. they will contact you even if you've never had a tmobile account and ask for 1123.20$ if only this was the old west! i made one of their employees cry, and i totally confused a supervisor named alex. they were so easy to play. i had one guy all tore up about being black. i aint even racist, and he was cryin. i love it. have fun with these people. give them hell back. i bet anything that dude quit that day after i made him cry.

I had the unpleasent opportunity to contact this company. I received a voice message that I could not understand. It was garbles and could not hear the name of the person this outfit was looking for. When I called back using the number they left I reached a "MR. MARCUS". Mr. Marcus would not identify what company I reached. He would only say it was a "private company". He wanted me to give him information before he would say who I was giving information to. I DON'T THINK SO. I called a second time and asked for a manager. "BRIAN" picked up and when asked if he was the manager he said no and put me back on hold.

I then spoke with MILTON WHITFORD. He said he was a manager with a "private company". After an exchange he finally gave me the name of the company that called me and at first refused to identify itself. Mr. Marcus said there are state and federal rules they need to adhear to before they can discuss an account.

I asked him what Ill. or federal regulations prohibit the disclosure of a company name when asked by a caller. He then got defensive and start to say he wasn't going to discuss that any further.

ANY company that will not disclose who they are when they answer their business phone can't be all that up to speed. I am going to call the Ill. Attorney General's office to see what they can tell me. I will also contact the (if they have one) Ill. dept of banking and insurance. Then I am going to see who at the federal level I can contact.

All this just to find out it was probably a wrong number as my number was not in their system!
