My My My, What have we here, As an Employee with CCB Credit Services for a little over a year now, first I want to Inform everyone, Its Company Policy that we do not Disclose our Company name to "Interested" Third Parties. Now would you like me to call your Neighbor and Tell them Im Calling from CCB Credit Services? No. didnt think so, i personally see it as it is no ones Buisness, All Im calling for is to see if they will run a Phone number to you, I also myself have had "Other" Collection Agencies call me and they were by far Beyond more rude then anyone that I have Personally ran accrossed at Work, ER Solutions for example will continue to call you after to repeatly tell them wrong number, CCB on the other hand will not, We Immediately remove your "wrong number", unless we verify with Directory Assistance that the number is Accurately the Right Person's number, As far as our Management staff goes, They can be pretty Cut throat, but this is how we see it, If you wanted Customer service, you should have paid the bank or Which ever one of our many clients that we deal with, If you have ever had a bad experiance with our collectors, I will be the first to apologize for them, Most of us (as in the Employees) are human just like everyone else, We have extremley exstenive Training (4 weeks) they teach us our job, As far as the ones who do complain, The Moral of thier story is most of the time a bad investment that they did wrong and now they dont want ot pay thier bills, We have "Professional debtors" as we like to call them (Def.- People whom take out loans or credit cards without the intention to ever pay them back.) Then we have those who blame Obama, This is what i have to tell you about blaming Obama, Obama did not tell you to take out 100,000 dollar loan for an RV and not pay it, then there are the people whom believe the banks who got a "Bail Out" from the Federal Government, that they shouldnt have to pay them, This is what I tell those people, "If the Bank Recieved all Payment for all of thier accounts they would not have recieved a "Bail Out" because they would not have needed it, Most people are Suit happy with Collection agencies, I can see suing one if you are truely being harrassed or other FDCPA Violations, But we have to walk on thin ice with people, They will try and Sue you for Sneezing wrong. Im not saying it has teh best Job Description, but it by far has better staff then other agencies, There are always gonig to be people that complain about Collection Agencies, But there are people in debt, If you have had a Personal Bad Experiance with CCB or any of the 375 employees then call there and ask for a Member of our management team. Have a GREAT Day...

I am absolutely floored by some of these responses! I understand that people can be highly emotional when finances are discussed & there are debts left unpaid due to an unfortunate event. What I don't understand is when people bash a collection agency for doing their job! They are not unethical if they call your neighbors, relatives, etc to locate you. This is completely lawful & legal! Why do people hide from their creditors instead of working out agreements. If you are unable to pay, file bankrupcty and move on with your life. Don't just cuss, hang up, ignore, or bash the agency that has been assigned your delinquint account. Everyone is given a grace period; time to resolve the past due amount. If you fail to do that, you need to hold your integrity & figure out a way to uphold your end of the contract. Everyone wants to play the victim of consumerism... Does anyone consider the fact that CREDIT CARD DEBT & LOANS ARE CHOICES??? No one twisted anyone's arm to agree to outrageous fees & interest. Those terms were all laid out in the beginning. Just because something bad happened doesn't mean anyone deserves a handout or should be treated with kid gloves. Suck it up! Pay the bill or file bankruptcy! This agency will offer settlement agreements, partial payment agreements, or even long term payment in full options. If you command respect, then treat the reps respectfully. It is not their fault you are in debt. As for them not disclosing their company name to inbound callers, they have to identify you as the consumer before releasing the fact that they are a collection agency. This is per the FDCPA, not shady business practice. Are there some bad apples there? Sure, but everything is monitored closely, & repeat offenders are fired. This is like any other job. And lastly, as for Michael Wojcik, he runs a department in a production based environment. His job is to solely drive numbers & results. He doesn not have the ability to explain man hours missed (un-planned abscences) to the clientele. If these agencies place millions of dollars worth of business & the job doesn't get done, it's not ok to explain it's because little miss poor attendance had a 'sick child' for the 7th Friday in a row when she smells like tequila & posted pics on facebook the night before of her at the club til 3am. Use common sense people! If he is such a horrible boss, why has the government not gotten involved & forced CCB to fire him? After all, it is a reputable, successful, government regulated agency... AMERICANS NEED TO WISE UP! WE ARE IN DEBT & BANKS RECEIEVED BUYOUTS BECAUSE WE SPEND MONEY WE DON'T HAVE! Maybe you could afford the payments at one time. But did you plan for the worst case scenerio? Did you charge on the card with the intentions on paying it off every time the statement came? No, because debtors procrastinate & make excuses. People need to stop blaming their problems on others & own up to their responsibilities! Call your creditors & negotiate instead of trying to feel sorry for yourself!

I hope some of those credit collection employees are reading this.
Please tell your buds at this place not everyone is a stupid fool living off of credit.
We had credit because we ran businesses. We made more than enough to pay the credit and then some. And we did pay more than we owed monthly. We had savings, etc. We managed our credit, which was all paid on time or early with way more than minimum payments and our debt:income ratio was great.
Katrina wiped out all our business clients OVERNIGHT, and Gustav and Rita took the rest in other the areas afterward. Since we didn't live in the hurricane areas, no programs to help applied to us.
Our families lost everything in St. Bernard (jobs, homes and belongings, schools, entire community... and three deaths), and lived with us. We were supporting four families with nothing and no place to go, and on my income alone.
Our business could no longer collect its contract payments, could no longer pay our salaries, and we could no longer pay personal nor business bills. We used up our life savings and our retirements. We are working second jobs just to keep a roof over our heads, and my husband was let go from his a year ago. He has been unable to find another because his skills are unique, and he is over qualified for jobs. They also see what he used to earn, and figure he won't work for low wages...then they choose someone else.
We have negotiated to make lower payments on our debts and sincerely are trying to pay them. We don't need absolute jerks treating us like some kinda criminals purposefully living beyond our means, sitting on our bums collecting food stamps. I'm working all the hours I can get, and he's continuing to pound the pavement for something.
Get with it...people were trapped by natural disaster overnight and by the economy coming behind it. We were fine people with outstanding credit ratings before this. We are still fine people. Quit treating us like dirt and work WITH us like humans.

"Why do people hide from their creditors instead of working out agreements."

We did. And we are being harrassed by collection agencies using unlawful practices. I DO know my rights. So yeah, I screen your calls.

"They are not unethical if they call your neighbors, relatives, etc to locate you. This is completely lawful & legal! "

We worked out payment plans with all our creditors, and have been current on them all. Why do the collection agencies want to call my neighbors?

"If you are unable to pay, file bankrupcty and move on with your life. "

Filing bankruptcy costs money. Also, it would ruin what little credit we have left for 11 years. We are almost 50. I am not interested in spending the rest of my life unable to finance a car, even when my debts are gone and income is good again. And forgive me, but I actually WANT to pay my debts.

"Just because something bad happened doesn't mean anyone deserves a handout or should be treated with kid gloves. Suck it up! Pay the bill or file bankruptcy!"

We are paying it. Your callers are rude and obnoxious anyway.
"This agency will offer settlement agreements, partial payment agreements, or even long term payment in full options."

We already have that in place with the actual creditors. You call AFTER we made payments ON TIME for debts we are paying to the creditor, and that the creditor keeps acknowledging on the phone and in writing as properly paid. So forgive me if I think your callers are fraudulent hackers and don't want to give them ANY information just in case.

"If you command respect, then treat the reps respectfully. "

I am respectful and polite. Your callers are NOT.

"they have to identify you as the consumer before releasing the fact that they are a collection agency. "

Our private information was stolen via computer hackers at a government FAFSA site, and at one of our medical sites twice. Forgive me, but I am not telling a phone caller a bit of private information. Contact me via phone or in writing in a way that I can verify who YOU are and that YOU are legitimate.

"Maybe you could afford the payments at one time. But did you plan for the worst case scenerio? "

Geeesh, did you plan for the tsunami? 9/11? The hurricane disaster of the millennium? No. We had a year's worth of income saved plus retirement funds. Thought that was enough for ANY emergency situation. Who has prepared for disasters of those proportions??? Well, NOW we know we all need to. But YOU quit blaming the victims for not having thought the world could end. We were prepared. Not for this.

"Did you charge on the card with the intentions on paying it off every time the statement came? No, because debtors procrastinate & make excuses."

No, we paid in full some months. Sometimes we paid three payments for a month. We always had a balance because we wanted the credit rating. We always paid more than we had to and early. We kept a balance and rolled old credit out and new in. We NEVER procrastinated or made excuses. You are a small minded idiot.

"People need to stop blaming their problems on others & own up to their responsibilities! Call your creditors & negotiate instead of trying to feel sorry for yourself!"

We did. I don't know who you people are, but we did, and we pay the debts monthly and on time.

And sorry for ourselves? I think we've earned the right to be sad. I AM sad and broken, but we keep pushing on.

I know there are more of us out there than people like YOU, and that is what keeps me going. I pray for them, they pray for me, and we even pray for unfeeling jerks like you.
