I just received another phone call from these clowns. I have sent them a cease and desist letter requesting they only contact me via usps and yet they continue to call me every 3 days at work. Any suggestions of what I can try next?

They are in strict violation and you need to file complaints with the Consumer Protection and Attorney General in your state and the state they are located in. I think you can file a police report for the harassment after requesting them in writing to stop and this is causing problems on the job. If i am wrong, someone jump in here and correct me.

Also file a complaint online with the federal trade commission. They called me once at work regarding collection on a payday loan. The payday loan was in debt consolidation and receiving monthly payments. I tried to explain to the lady that I would call her back because I could not talk at work. She wanted a specific time and I said within two hours on my lunch hour. I guess this wasn't good enough because she started screaming at me on the phone. I asked her a couple of questions and she hung up on me. I faxed them a cease and desist order and also filed a complaint with the FTC. I contacted the orginal creditor because I didn't understand why I went to collections because I was making regular monthly payments that they had agreed to with T & C. This is not a good CA, file file file those complaints. :?

So I told them that until they send me a letter so that I can validate the debt, they are not getting my bank information. I don't have stupid written on my forehead.

That's my girl/boy (help me out here)!

The next time they call, either depress the number 3 key on the keypad, or deafen them any other way with something high frequency and monotonous. I am sure they get used to fax tones. I did. Some of my previous suggestions have been police whistles, blowhorns, whoopie cushions, or if you have cordless phones, put the antennaes together and the shreiking of the feedback from that will shatter their teeth!
