Charge off or included in bankruptcies

I know that neither one of these look good on someones credit report but if you had a choice which one would you want a creditor to put.

Welcome to the forums.
I don't understand why your creditors will report such information on your accounts.
If your account is delinquent, it will be automatically shown as charged off and they don't have to post something new on it.
Creditors can't post bankruptcy in your file unless you have actually filed for it.
Can you please narrate the complete situation so that a better reasoning can be offered here?

I pulled up my CR and an old CC company charged off my account and sold it to Arrow Financial back in 05. The CC company is showing an amount due in addition to Arrow showing this amount. Should the CC company be reporting $0.
