Riots in Oakland

Did you see that CNN article about the riots in Oakland? It's really tragic what happened but the riots don't solve anything.

Thanks for sharing that. In following this story, I had a few questions, (and yes, I'm in the Bay area too).
First off, I've always wondered who had jurisdiction over the BART police when there's an incident. Since this happened at the Fruitvale station, which is a part of Oakland, I guess that would mean the City of Oakland would have it?
Also, there's a new scandal in the police dept that just came out, with officers being busted once again for lying to get search warrants. I think maybe the reason that people erupted in the Grant case is that there's just been so much garbage in this dept, what with the Riders, the Chauncey Baker case and now this scandal. How much more can the city of Oakland take?
I am sure you are right in saying that this trial will have to be moved in order to ensure a fair trial. I can see it being moved, perhaps to Southern California.
