Just Testing....

Is that not the CUTEST?!?! I love it! Is it obvious I'm a dachshund lover??? Oh, it's toooo cute. I should have done this long ago. Too stupid though. Mike had to instruct me. LOL!

You know something; I also have a dachshund at home :) He is 10 years old.

Mike, you have a dachshund? OMG! I actually have 2. They are both girls. This one is Weenie. My other is Holly. She's a dapple haired dachshund. Both are beautiful, but I can't get a good picture of them both together! They're both 7 years old. Not related. But I don't tell them that. They think they are sisters! I'll have to put pictures of them on the community for all to see. They are my children. Don't have any kids, have dogs. And I couldn't live without them! And, morningstarr, Weenie says "thank you" for thinking she's adorable! :D

Mine one is black in color. I like to tease him a lot with all my mischievous activities. Sometimes I lift his hind legs, knot them together and keep him in air for few minutes. He is helpless and knows nothing about how to protect himself. He just turns back to me when kept back on the ground. Trust me; he really hates me for being a pain on his back. And I love it!!! hahaha (a devil's laugh)

Oh, Mike-shame on you :lol: I am a dog lover too, but had to put my shih-tsu to sleep last year at 11 years of age. Am thinking about getting another one-but won't let Mike tie its legs together :lol:

Oh, I'm so sorry you had to put your little friend to sleep. That's one of the heartbreaking things of having pets. Losing them. And these dogs are my life. I don't have a husband, boyfriend, kids, etc. So they are my babies. Spoiled rotten little things can do ANYTHING they want! And, you'd probably enjoy a little puppy. Talk about unconditional love! Who else in the world is SO happy to see you walk in the door! Just don't let Mike near it. LOL! :lol:

I am the best company of my pet. He knows it very well. Dachshunds are quite lazy all the time and love to sleep. He lies down with others in my family. The moment he sees me, he becomes sporty. Actually, I keep pulling his both the ears, moustaches and he gets irritated. He wants to bite my fingers for being such a pain. Sometimes, if he sees me not giving him attention, he comes to me slowly and pulls my fingers with his teeth. He lets me know that he doesn't like to see me so silent, and he needs attention. There I go, back to my scary activities. We both are the best pals.

All this do talk makes me want to go get a new puppy!! Somehow, Mike, I can't see you having anything evil in your body-let alone an evil laugh :lol: You sound like me, my dog and I were best buddies! She took naps with me, played, everything. We had to put moms' dog to sleep a month ago. We got the dogs pretty close to each othe- thei names were Fred and Ethel!!..KAren

This is why I'm partial to dachshunds. They are sooo funny. They have the personalities of people! But they're really laid back. Not all "charged up" like some breeds. I'm a computer addict and a couch potato. They like that about me! They lay in their beds in the computer room with me while I'm on here and then we mosey on out to the couch for TV or a movie and we'll all just fine being lazy! LOL! And FRED and ETHEL! I love it! I knew someone who named their dachshunds PORK and BEANS! Is that cute or what? I wasn't that creative!

cannr, I don't know if you know, my dachshunds are Sassy, Lucy, and Abbie. Sassy is 7, Lucy is 2, and Abbie is 8 months. They are all long haired and Abbie is a black and tan dapple. Did you see the pics on my home page? I just saw yours, they are DOLLS!!!!!! These dogs are my little rays of sunshine and I love them so much. My dogs love to sleep and cuddle too. There is NOTHING like a little dachshund!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have wanted one ever since I was a teenager. My ex's family had 3 of them and I knew ever since then that I was destined to be a dachshund owner one day.

OMG! I just went to your home page and clicked on those ADORABLE little puppy pictures! Are they not the cutest? OMG! Little dachsies everywhere! Tell Mike to post a picture of his dachsie!!!

You guys are really maing me want to get another dog- may consider a Dachshund!! I love the Pork and Beans name-how funny!! You don't realize how much they play into your life until they are gone- I still look for toys for Fred and Ethel in the per department!! Sass- your dogs are too cute too!!..KAren

karen, I love ALL dogs. ALL animals actually! Any dog is the perfect dog, to me! But, I'm telling you, dachshunds are the funniest things around! They are like little furry people. They have the most amazing personalities. And they're smart. But they are STUBBORN! I'll call Holly's name 100 times, she'll keep walking, look back at me like "what?", and continue walking the other way. Cracks me up! :lol:

Yeah- I'm a major animal lover too!! You want to see me riled up, just mistreat an animal or a child- and I come out roaring!! Ethel would ignore me too, unless it was concerning food!! She was a little chub!!.KAren

Thanks Karen.....my doggies are babies. They are so spoiled. They are all on the floor with their chewys right now. They are the biggest cuddlebugs. I think that your next dog should be a dachshund...but then again I am biased!!!!

I think you are right Sass!! My friend had one and every so often, so would get this one toy she had and think it was her baby, and every time you tried to pick it up-she would bite you! The vet said she really thought she was protecting her baby! Ethel went through a thing after she was fixed, where she would think she was pregnant, and eat like a horse!! Didn't know dogs did that until I had her!..Karen
