Have you spoken to a debt counselor yet? I don't know which companies T&C will work with and which they won't.

no one has contacted me yet. i called the 800 number that's to the right. I spoke with someone who took my number and said they would have someone call me but that has been a few days ago. i also fill out the form at the front and i still haven't received a reply.

I was just reading one of the threads that says that you have to have 1000 debt cc points in order to receive info on t&c. i have been visiting the site ongoing since i signed up and i saw that i earned debcc points for posting the reply but i never knew what they were for. i am really not trying to just get info and run. i have been here but i just have not been posting because we have just gotten into this situation and we caught this site before we got any deeper. we just defaulted this past week and we are going to close the account or freeze it because it's in the negative so that they can't keep overcharging. i did not know my husband had so many at first and bit by bit he started confessing when we started working with this company to get some of the marks on our credit disputed so we could get approved for a home loan. i just want some type of repayment so nothing else will go on our credit and we really cant afford to keep getting hit with fees but we also can't afford to pay all of them off at one time. my husband doesn't know how to negotiate with people and they won't talk to me because the account is not in my name. i went in to the storefront people with him and set up a payment arrangement with them but i'm afraid of the internet ones--ics, ambassador, paydayselect, and gfsil. i drafted the letter to send for ics but after reading the posts seems that will take a long time. i spoke with the lady at ics after i found out about the loan. they say my husband signed up on june 23 but they only deposited the money on july 17 and he did not know until he went to get his check out on friday. i called them and after being harrassed and passed around i spoke to a lady that said that we could just pay the 200 back but they had already sent the thing through for 124 (89 plus 35 membership fee) and that she can give me a verbal agreement that he only owed 74 and they couldn't give me anything in writing saying that because they are a paperless company and they don't have an email. then when i checked the account after 1 on friday it was over 700 in the negative because one of the storefront lenders must have changed their mind and sent the check through and it cleared before the atm withdrawals cleared. gfsil and ics sent one through. the firs payment that gfsil took by his statement was 90 but the payment they tried to take friday was 155 and i tried to go to their website but it has no links other than to apply for a loan so i don't even know what the 155 is for. then from this website and polly i found out they were the same company. i just want to be rid of these people once and for all and i don't want 1000 of dollars of fees in the process. i want to pay the principle and a reasonable amount because he has a 300 loan here he is only paying 65 dollars on it compared to ambassador charging 90. please help i promise i will continue to come here because i find it very interesting and informative.

You do not have to have a certain number of debt cc points to work with T&C. That is not true. I think they just take a little longer to call back. Think it took them 3 weeks to call me. By that time I had already gone with someone else though. So, if you have time, wait for them. If not just make sure you research the company you decide to use.

Prince
Since you registered in the weekend, the counselor might have included you in the list of callers to be done on Monday. So, wait for today, you will definitely hear from someone. It takes some time to get in touch with the person during weekends. I guess, that happens everywhere.
The companies you are dealing with have been discussed here in and out. Read through this forum and know about their nature of business. Every company needs to follow the state laws while doing business with the borrower. ICS has been mostly talked about for their disputed accounts. You need to get the statement of your loan account with ICS before you make any further payment. I hope the counselor will of great help to you in resolving these matters.
