I guess I have the following questions:
1) Is it legal for them to contact my employer? (This would be quite embarassing for me)
2) What/who is T&C?
3) Is sonicpayday even legal in Indiana? (I've read that they violate local PDL laws.)
Also, thanks for the help!

Hi Ndebt,
Welcome to the forums.
First of all.. T&C is a consolidation company that works with payday loan lenders. I've never personally used them, but a lot of members here have had really good experiences with them. I see you just registered..Part of the registration process is that a professional counselor will call you to talk about consolidation options. They will definitely point you in the right direction.
Sonic is no fun. They are one of the most difficult to deal with. Unfortunately, it is legal for them to contact your employer. It seems a bit early in the game for them to do this, but they never have been known for playing fair.
Here's what I would do while you're waiting to figure out what you're going to do about consolidation...First, send them a cease and desist letter. This will stop the phone calls, both at home and at work. Send this certified mail with receipt requested. For a sample of this letter, just do a forum search. Second, send a wage assignment revocation letter. Sonic is very fond of wage assignments. You can also find a sample letter by searching the site. Also, write a letter to your employer stating that as of this date you revoke any and all wage assignments. Or you can call them voluntary deductions. I don't know what type of place you work for, bigger companies generally recognize that wage assignments are a bunch of bologna.
Things will work out, I promise! If you need any help or have any more questions, feel free to ask. Good luck, and keep us posted.

I had an experience with Sonic where I paid them thier little loan back and they just kept taking money from my account. I had to contact my bank. They put a 14 day block on Sonic so they couldn't take fund from my account. In the mean time, they sent me a letter that I had to sign and notarize and send back to them. That was okay, though, because I have never heard from Sonic again.Whatever the stipulations were in that letter, they seem to have worked.
Good luck with that.

Anyone have contact info for T&C and have they been effective with Sonic? I don't mind paying it. I owe it. I would just like to make 2 payments.
Also, my only concern here is Sonic contacting my employer. This would be very bad for me with the position I am in. I am in a management position and it could affect my job. I've noticed Cease and Desist letters that state the following:
You are ordered to cease and desist contacting me and/or my employer at work. All contact must be made via phone or mail to my home phone/address.
and
The notice to the employer should be sent only after a notice about it has been sent to me. I should receive this notice 20 days before my employer receives it.
Will the first one work and is the second one true. If it's true, will Sonic abide by it?
Also, I've seen several addresses for Sonic Payday and comments that certified mail is returned from most. Is there an address that I can send this to and they accept it?
