Hi,
has anyone dealt with CPS security in texas.or Check Plus Systems,LP also in texas?
Are they the same company.
I have gotten letters from both.this latest is from the check plus systems. Both companys always send a yellow envelope and paper that says says "Priority-Gram".
One other thing the envolpe says mailed from 48068 zip,but the address on the letter is 78278.

collection agencies and attorney that collect consumer debts in Texas must have a file with the Texas Secretary of State. This refers to a debt collection bond described by Chapter 392 of the Texas Finance Code. The Texas Secretary of State holds all the collections bonds and can confirm whether the collector is having a legitimate business in Texas.

I personally feel that Check Plus Systems and CPS security has some connection within. But, you will get the confirmed information with the Texas Secretary of State.

Now, I didn't research, but off the top of my head, I think CPS is one of those companies that verify your check when you write one at Walmart, Target and such. When they scan your barcode, CPS, I think, is I company that validates the check.

I think they are just like Vericheck. BUT....do not take that as stone. I am possibly wrong.

Ok - I googled it. Check this out:

check-plus.com/

I think I'm right. HOLY CRAP! :D
