Hi,
This number keeps coming up on my caller ID. Sometimes they leave a message and when I call they say it is American Express. Last time I looked I was dealing with (trying anyway) with a collection agency. Sent the a validation letter and a Cease and Desist. Is it possible that Amex took this back after the CA got my letter. Or is this number in fact a collection agency "posing" as Amex. If it is, I will then keep copies of the voicemails and go after them for violating the Cease and Desist.

I checked it out on the net, and it does appear to be a number f
I checked it out on the net, and it does appear to be a number for American Express, not a CA. So, I'm thinking it is very possible that your account was given back to AMEX since you sent a C&D letter to the CA.
