When dealing with a SOL account, what do you forward to the collector first, validation or sol letter?
What steps do i need to follow?

FloridaDude, without having your debt validated, you are not sur
FloridaDude, without having your debt validated, you are not sure whether the collector has your info and has the authority to collect on your account. Once you figure out that the collector is doing a proper collection on your account, send a dispute letter after you have confirmed about the expiry of the SOL.
Are you sure about the statutes of your account past the legal collection period in your state?
