1st credit of America is one of the worst collection agencies around. DO NOT pay them a dime. They have commited several fdcpa violations. Make them validate the debt and send them a cease and desist letter certified mail with return receipt. If 1st credit of america keeps harassing you, file a complaint with the Illinois AG.

I would send another one. They don't have to respond within 30 days. They can take as long as they want to validate. Normally if they are legit holders, they validate within 60 days. Steelers1 is right also, some collection agencies do ignore the validation letters and send it back to the original creditor.
