i recently went to a summons hearing for an old cc debt bought by jdb..i did send out dv letter before eharing but still have not gotten any reply..before we went in teh rep for teh plaintiff talked to me in private..she shwed me a paper with alil info onit but some things were seemed not right to me..now i know i had an account with oc and feel bad for not paying them but had some financial problems ..on the paper thsi was all thatwas on it and since its been so long im not even sure if some of its correct or not

now #7 is what really threw me.. teh date listed i know for a fact is not corect due to some personal issues i know it was at least a yr or more before that that i had made a pmt.it seems to me they list last pmt as when jdb bought it..also nowhere was it listed on the paper teh jdb name or that they now own it..the paper was jsut confusing to me..she even asked me if i knew when i made my last pmt

Do you remember the date when the agreement went into default? T
Do you remember the date when the agreement went into default? That should be your last payment date. This info will confirm whether the debt is within the SOL period in your state. If the statutes are past, you will get protection from this collector trying to sue you. If required, get this info from the original creditor and then decide your next move.
