I just got a call from one of the reps at Zwicker and Associates. I was told that if I didn't pay 20% of my Sally Mae loan I will get sued, and also that my payments cannot be the $50-$100 that I can afford a month? Is there anything I can do? Can they sue me for not coming up with $2000 in a week?

Try something with Sally Mae if you cannot afford the payment said by Zwicker. They have a few negative feedbacks in the forum.

Zwicker has to get a legal case if they are taking you to the court. Very few collection agencies actually do that because of the incomplete information they have from the creditors or when the debt keeps passing by. Have you received anything in writing from Zwicker? If yes, check the given info. You might figure out some incorrect entries and if it's found, dispute it with the CA. They will check with the creditors and provide you the correct info. In the meantime, you get some time to work out with the creditor.
