First they have to get a judgment. I am not sure about the rest. Usually they have to sue in Florida, your residence. But since your bank is in Minnesota, they might be able to claim jurisdiction, because you frequently do business there (banking).

Okay now they supposedly just took this account over the 7th of November. I had no idea until I got letter from them demanding payment it full. They sent the letter on 11/21, the only phone call I ever recieved was on the 22nd asking me to call. I only found this out because after receiving the letter I called them, she said I was being uncooperative because she had called and called so she finally had to send a letter. Well I have a thing on my computer called CallWave, if I don't pick up it records the number. I went through all the calls and they never called prior to the 22nd. I told her on the phone I had callwave that records incoming calls. Since I told her I needed proof of the debt, they haven't called and I haven't received anything. I did have a letter sent requesting validation of debt but they won't receive that until next week. I've heard these people are ruthless and they call and call. Should I be worried they are trying someting because they haven't called?
