I have no contact information on a company called Power Funding where I took out a $250 payday loan. My account has been debited $180 for 4 months, needless to say they have their money back. A lady by the name of Amber Noui contacted me from United Processing Division and stated if I don't pay off the loan in the amount of $685 she would send 25 people to my home and work to collect. ( no lie) Any suggestions?

Actually, that's a total lie. Ms. Noui is using a standard, but illegal, process of trying to scare you into paying the money they want.

I assume this is a payday loan? Was is a storefront loan or an internet loan? If it is a internet, the key is whether the company worked within the law in the lending. Are they registered within your state?

Hopefully, kyside or another member here that has dealt with PDLs will come in and give you better advice. But right now, don't let them scare you.

25 people? Are you that big, tough and mean that 25 people would be required to arrest you? That has to be the funniest lie I have ever heard.

I'm going to take a stab that this is the company you are talking about:

Please tell us more about where you live, the type of loan this is and other general info. Someone definately will give you some advice.

It is a payday loan that I secured over the internet. I sincerely tried to pay it back, but the number I tried to contact is a fax??? I have looked into the BBB to find out information, and came up empty. I live in Nevada, and I'm tired of the constant debits of $90 every payday from Power Funding-2. This was my first and last payday loan, I have learned a very valuable lesson! Thanks for any help you can give!
