Question about National Credit Adjusters
Date: Mon, 02/05/2007 - 08:23
I paid $ 58.50- 12/1/06
I paid $ 75.00 - 1/31/07
My question the total payback was 526.50
My remaining balance is 451.50.
Does this sound right?
I have spoken to a Lisa Ray from this company. I feel that I may be OVER paying?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Go to paydayloaninfo.org to find your state's payday loan law listed under "state information". The interest rate listed there is what you should use to figure out exactly what you owe. You also need to find out if the original lender is licensed in your state. The governing body and person to contact regarding licensed lenders will be listed along with your state's payday loan law on paydayloaninfo.org.

What state are you in? The legal charges are mentioned in your state. Go through the contract signed with the loan company and see if they have done the agreement following the laws of your state. You are not supposed to pay one cent more than the charges mentioned in your state laws.
National Credit Adjusters seems like a collection agency. Did you get the debt validated by them?

if your original loan was $300.00....and you expected to pay it
if your original loan was $300.00....and you expected to pay it off in 2 wks? your total should be $360.00.
That breaks down like this: Loan amount - $300.00; finance charge - $60.00, annual interest rate - 520%.
What were the payment terms, tweety?
The terms are 58.50 on the 31st of every month. Well I thought
The terms are 58.50 on the 31st of every month. Well I thought 360.00 was the right amount too but, they are telling me I owe a total of 526.50. I am to pay another 58.50 by the end of the month but I need advice on if I should file complaints against them and if I do- Will they comply and agree to it by the end of the month. I have been dealing with a "Lisa Ray"? I have paid back a total of 133.50 far......

NCA has a history. If they made a demand for an amount of money
NCA has a history. If they made a demand for an amount of money they cannot legally charge under the contract, they may have committed violations of the FDCPA. A good naca lawyer may be able to get the debt wiped out.
I realize I should file complaints but, my question is how do I
I realize I should file complaints but, my question is how do I go about it? How do I let this "LISA RAY" know that I will NOT pay any more then the origional amount? I'm due to give her a payment by on the 28th. It will take some time to let her know I'm on to her game right?
NCA is a collection agency. Make them put in writing the amount
NCA is a collection agency. Make them put in writing the amount they say is due. If it is greater than the legally chargeable amount, contact a lawyer regarding violations of the fdcpa. Regardless, make sure you have the amount and repayment terms in writing.
